A message from our CEO, Dave Moran
I do not need to tell anyone that 2020 has been a year that has impacted so many and will continue to do so in the months ahead as we look to emerge from the pandemic. BUT emerge we will, of that I have no doubt.
Here at MPE it has been a year of change with several false dawns and at times challenging, as many friends and colleagues from our industry have seen their businesses and livelihoods devastated through no fault of their own.
MPE is fortunate to have a shareholder base who genuinely LOVE and BELIEVE in what we do and a unique group of clients who recognise the value that our flagship event, the UK Challenge, brings to an organisation.
2021 will be known as the CGI UK Challenge and it is our intention to make this event even better than ever, if that is possible, and dates have been set for 29th July to 1st August once again in the Lake District and we already have 65 intrepid teams planning to be there, which we expect to grow to 100 teams.
At the same time, I am delighted to announce that Marco Polo Events have brought the Tribal Clash brand under our wing. This team event is aimed at the functional fitness market and held in locations across the globe, including UK, Portugal, US and Australia with plans for Brazil, SE Asia and Japan already in the pipeline.
You will hear a lot more from us over the coming weeks and I hope you will be able to join in with some of the initiatives we have planned to help you and your teams prepare for the CGI UK Challenge.
In the meantime I wish all of you a Great Christmas and New Year and that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy. Perhaps the first challenge of the year could be to identify from which film this fitting quote is from:
“The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming”.
Best Regards,
Dave
What is Tribal Clash?
Tribal Clash is Europe’s largest competition in the new and emerging sport of team fitness racing. Sitting at the intersection of sports and entertainment, Tribal Clash is a two day adrenalin filled competition for co-ed teams of six that is as compelling to watch as it is exhilarating to compete in. It launched in Devon, UK in 2013 and now has four established events on three separate continents, attracting both amateur and elite athletes from around the world. Top teams compete for a place at the Tribal Clash World Championship Final which we plan to launch in 2022.
