UK Challenge announce Beefy’s Charity Foundation will remain as our Charity Partner

About Beefy’s Charity Foundation

Beefy’s Charity Foundation supports 4 individual charities targeted at brain tumours, Batten’s Disease, Juvenille Diabetes and Blood Cancer UK. The Charity was established in 1985 by “Beefy” himself many years ago when Leukemia was a death sentence to many.

“I am delighted that our foundation will be one of the UKC charity partners this year and we look forward to working closely with Dave, his team and all the competing companies to help put some fun into raising funds. This has always been something very personal to me ever since my first long walk which seems to make it a great fit with the UKC” – Lord Botham

How will the UK Challenge help raise funds?

Teams in the UK Challenge are able to join in the fundraising efforts for Beefy’s Charity Foundation by integrating participation into their workplace CSR programmes or by creating dedicated charity initiatives. Over the years, the UK Challenge has raised over £5 million for charity causes.

The partnership with ‘Beefy’s Charity Foundation’ will allow participating teams and organisations to support projects that are easily identified and aligned with the values of the UK Challenge.

The UK Challenge is delivered and owned by Marco Polo Events (MPE); a company dedicated to providing outdoor team-building opportunities. MPE President and Founder, David Moran, commented.  “Having worked with many great charities and raised millions through the generosity of our clients this year I am excited to be working with Beefys Charity Foundation, with a passion to make a difference. I look forward to the 2023 event being one of the most memorable and successful from a fund-raising perspective”

Adding to those comments, Peter George, Chairman of MPE said, “The UK Challenge attracts the best and most motivated people to be found in the workplace. This company investment in its people brings huge benefits to the workforce, and this year we look forward to increased participants from across the armed services as they bring their military experience to the competition.”
