Invictus Games Foundation

We believe that men and women who have been injured during, or as a direct consequence of, their military service deserve to have a purposeful and fulfilling life.

The Invictus Games Foundation exists to promote the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured and sick (WIS) servicemen and women – serving and veterans – to improve their lives.

We do this through the Invictus Games which harness the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation, and generate a wider understanding and respect for (WIS) servicemen and women.

Starting with the inaugural Games in London 2014, the Foundation has delivered four Invictus Games (London 2014, Florida 2016, Toronto 2017 and Sydney 2018). These have supported 1400 WIS men and women to compete from 18 nations with over 2,500 friends and family members joining them to support their recovery journey.

“I lost my identity and my ability. Training for the Invictus Games picked me up. It’s proved to me that actually I am still worth something and I have still got drive and determination.”
